“When creating a web app you should avoid replicating the default iOS styling and interactions. This includes button and list styles, transitions, animations, and standard information views. Mobile apps are tactile experiences, and even the least savvy of users form an intuitive understanding of how the default OS should feel, and will notice even tiny deviations from the real thing. By simply avoiding having your app feel “wrong,” you’re most of the way there already. And by giving users something new, they won’t know when it’s not quite right.
At the same time, avoid the temptation to make the web app look too much like a website. For example, consider the use of buttons instead of blue underlined links. Just because you’re using HTML5 under the hood doesn’t mean that it should look like it. If you aim for a fully custom, native app look and feel, you’ll be more likely to succeed.

The response from my friends is of course, “Google Reader is good. Give Google all of your data.” Fuck off, they already know about all my porn habits, my searches for Hentai (which isn’t porn but an entirely different ugly monster), and parts of my dating life, so fuck that. I don’t want google to have my fucking news reading habits.
“One way or another, directly or indirectly, you use RSS. Without RSS all we’d have is pictures of cats and breakfast.”

Safe Mode.
Будущее ff перестало казаться таким туманным.
“Reader is a product built to consume information, quickly. We designed it to be very good at that one thing. G+ is an experience built around browsing (similar to Facebook) and socializing. Taking the UI paradigm for G+ and mashing it onto Reader without any apparent regard for the underlying function is awful and it shows.”
““… what makes this album stand out is Sella’s gifts as a vocalist and a lyricist. Sella has a knack for a superior rant about the minutia of twenty-something life, but let it sink in and the details give these songs a richness that’s truly satisfying, as noting the glassware at a keg party gives way to one kid’s desperate love for an unattainable girl, or stray thoughts about the gal he loves ties in to contemplation of homelessness and dashed hopes among his peers.”
“At his best, Sella is one of the most interesting and satisfying new songwriters to emerge in some time, and with Uychich at his side, he’s part of a band that brings his tunes to glorious life, and The Front Bottoms is an out-of-left-field candidate for the best debut album of 2011.”

“The fundamental reason was that HP did not understand the mobile world. One member of the Palm team told me HP marketing people were mainly interested in putting webOS on printers (why the effing eff would you want that?!?), and that in the ex-Palm offices the expression “facepalm” had given way to “faceHP.”
